Hello Titans fans. It has been a while. The bye week has come and gone as has the trade deadline. Since the crushing defeat in London the team really has not done much. They failed make a move at the trade deadline, which has left me somewhat perplexed. They did however resign Jalston Fowler. While obtaining Fowler was not necessary a blockbuster move, I do like it. I thought he played great last year and was really disappointed when they cut him. I think he can help the run game. Additionally, he’s a decent pass catcher so maybe they looked to get him involved in the passing game.
I will say I was disappointed by the teams lack to aggression around the trade deadline. I would have really liked a receiver. Obviously they tried, but it’s still disheartening that they could not make anything happen.
Well we have to move on with the mediocre offense that they have and the next stop is Dallas. The team has had a bad losing streak and they are going in to what might be a must win game. I am very curious to see what the offense will look like. I have heard that during the bye week the team did a lot of self scouting and are looking to make some changes, the rumor is that they are going to use more of a power run scheme. I am not sure how effective that could be considering how bad the line and the running backs have been. But really who has played well on the offense this year? Any changes should be welcomed.
They are going to have difficult task on Monday night. Dallas has a good defense, so yards are going to be hard to come by. Their pass rush is especially good, and if they can get to Mariota early it could be a long game. There really is not too much to say. Every player needs to perform better because right now they have one of the worst offenses in the league.
As for the defense, they really need to focus on stopping Elliott. I think Prescott is an overrated passer and if they can force the game into his hands I like the Titans chances. They are going to try to get Cooper involved early, but I question how good he really is. He’s definitely not give up a first round pick good. I think Jackson can shut him down. However, knowing the Titans luck I would not be surprised to see Cooper burn Butler for a long touchdown. Anyway I have faith in the Titans defense. I think they will do enough to win. Therefore, everything will depend on if the offense can finally get it together. Unfortunately at this point they have shown nothing to make me think they can, but anything can happen on Monday night.
Well Titans fans, enjoy the game. It should be interesting. Until next time keep those thumbtacks flaming.
